The INTELLI-INGEST consortium successfully held its first three-day Training School, hosted by the IDUN Centre of Excellence at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). This event marked a vital step in the educational journey of our Doctoral Candidates (DCs), providing them with a deep dive into the multidisciplinary pillars of the project. The school featured a series of high-level lectures delivered by our Principal Investigators, covering the diverse expertise required to revolutionize internal diagnostics and therapy. The curriculum spanned several critical domains:
Robotics
Microengineering
Biomaterials & Drug Delivery
Machine Learning & Medical Imaging
Challenges for Wireless Theory and Technologies in Ingestible Devices
These sessions provided the DCs with a unique opportunity to learn directly from leaders in the field, bridging the gap between theoretical research and the practical challenges of developing next-generation medical devices. Beyond the lectures, dedicated group activities encouraged the researchers to apply their knowledge collectively through peer-to-peer learning.
The “heart” of the school lay also in the social and bonding moments. Meeting in person and having social moments all together allowed the team to build the personal trust and professional friendships essential for a successful MSCA Doctoral Network.
We wrap up these three days in Copenhagen with great pride. Our researchers return to their institutions not only with enhanced technical skills but as a united community. This foundation of shared knowledge and strong bonds will be instrumental as we continue pushing the boundaries of miniaturized technology for global healthcare.
