From 6–9 July 2026, our doctoral candidate Kai Zhang participated in the CRS 2026 Annual Meeting & Exposition, held in Lisbon, Portugal, one of the leading international conferences dedicated to research and innovation in drug delivery.

During the event, Kai Zhang presented his poster entitled “Origami-Enabled Mucosal Interfacing for Intestinal Drug Delivery.”

The poster, connected with his research, explores the development of origami-inspired ingestible devices designed to be compactly loaded into capsules and to self-deploy in the small intestine. This approach aims to enhance contact with the intestinal mucosa and support localized drug delivery, contributing to the advancement of innovative therapeutic delivery strategies.

Participation in the conference provided an important opportunity for international scientific exchange and highlighted the research group’s commitment to developing advanced technologies for drug delivery.
